Orbis Clinical is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist located in Cambridge, MA for 12 months.

Job Title: Senior Associate Scientist

Location: Cambridge, MA

Contract: 12 months

Position Description:

The Physical Biochemistry group requests a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate Scientist to join the group for operational efficiencies.

  • The selected candidate will contribute to a fast-paced, innovative research environment focused on addressing unmet medical needs across immunology, rare disease, and neuroscience therapeutic areas.
  • This position provides opportunities to collaborate within the Therapeutics modalities department; the candidate is expected to execute multi-step processes independently and proactively and communicate progress effectively in oral and written communications.

The selected candidate will be expected to

  • Enable efficient reagent and study organization, documentation, and data reporting, as well as monitoring how protein reagents are stored and distributed across the department.
  • Perform crystallization workflows or straight forward biophysical analysis workflows
  • Enable crystal storage and shipping
  • Demonstrate diligence in equipment maintenance, inventory tracking, and proactive ordering of laboratory supplies, and provide support for day-to-day laboratory management activities. Contribute to effective general laboratory organization and best practices for lab safety.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry or related field, with 1–2 years of relevant experience in an industrial and/or academic laboratory setting.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong collaborative skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Innovative approaches to problem solving and the ability to manage multiple activities in parallel are highly valued.

Compensation Details:

  • Orbis Clinical is an equal opportunity employer that provides a reasonable range of compensation for our positions. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience and specific office location.
  • The Pay Range for this position is $41.53 per hour, can vary depending on employment status.
  • Orbis Clinical offers eligible employees health benefits (medical, dental, and vision), employer-paid basic life and AD&D insurance, and a partial employer match on a 401(k).
