Orbis Clinical is seeking a Temporary Data Analyst located in Alameda, CA for 6 months.

Job Title: Temporary Data Analyst

Location: Alameda, CA

Contract: 6 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, validate, and organize data related to payments and transfers of value to healthcare providers in support of federal Sunshine Act reporting requirements
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of accurate and timely Open Payments reports to CMS, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies
  • Perform data quality checks to identify discrepancies, missing information, or potential reporting errors in payment and transfer of value records
  • Support the reconciliation of financial data across multiple systems including accounts payable, expense management platforms (Concur), and CRM databases
  • Maintain detailed documentation of data sources, validation procedures, and reporting methodologies to support audit readiness
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to track reporting metrics, submission deadlines, and compliance status for stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Finance, Commercial Operations, and Medical Affairs to gather required data elements
  • Respond to data queries from healthcare professionals regarding reported payments and assist with dispute resolution processes
  • Monitor regulatory updates and guidance for global transparency reporting requirements from CMS and other jurisdictions as needed
  • Maintain organized records and filing systems for all Sunshine Act documentation in accordance with retention policies
  • Other duties as needed

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field with 1-2++ years of relevant experience

UPDATED Core Experience Required:

  • Experience supporting Sunshine Act / Open Payments / transparency reporting within a pharmaceutical or biotech environment strongly preferred
  • Exposure to payments or transfers of value to healthcare providers (HCPs/HCOs) and related compliance reporting processes
  • Experience performing data reconciliation across multiple source systems such as accounts payable, expense management, and CRM platforms
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements related to healthcare transparency reporting (CMS Open Payments)
  • Ability to support data validation, audit readiness, and documentation in a regulated environment
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Commercial Operations, and/or Medical Affairs teams

UPDATED Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Concur or other expense management systems
  • Exposure to CRM systems (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce)
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or Tableau for reporting and data analysis
  • Experience with Access databases or similar tools

Compensation Details:

  • Orbis Clinical is an equal opportunity employer that provides a reasonable range of compensation for our positions. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience and specific office location.
  • The Pay Range for this position is $67.41 - $72.06 per hour, can vary depending on employment status.
  • Orbis Clinical provides W2 Employees with options for Health Benefits and 401K.
