Orbis Clinical is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Princeton, NJ for 12+ months.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist III provides leadership in performing diagnostics and theranostics nuclear medicine procedures.  Responsibilities include preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and collaborating closely with physicians and clinic staff to ensure top-notch patient care. Additionally, this position will mentor and train other team members on best practices in imaging and radiopharmaceutical policies and procedures.

​We are looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in our new practice location in Princeton, New Jersey. Located on the outskirts of the Princeton campus, this clinic site will support both clinical care and research initiatives through the in vivo diagnostic use of radiopharmaceuticals to evaluate disease and the treatment of disease with radiopharmaceutical therapy. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will primarily provide imaging for Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, and SPECT/CT studies, develops and implements new Nuclear Medicine , PET/CT, and SPECT/CT procedures; and participates in research initiatives designed to identify promising radiopharmaceutical therapies, and perform analysis of imaging data to aid in a more patient-centric delivery of care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures (SPECT-CT and/or PET-CT) and/or diagnostic and theranostics nuclear medicine procedures.

·      Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and safety standards.

·      Operate, maintain, and calibrate imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and image quality.

·      Collaborate with physicians and clinic staff to interpret imaging studies and develop personalized treatment plans for patients.

·      Provide support and assistance to patients throughout the imaging process, ensuring their safety and comfort.

·      Calculates, orders, prepares, and measures radio pharmaceuticals/kits. 

·      Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns.

·      Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to regulatory and clinic standards.

·      Stay informed about advancements in nuclear medicine technology and participate in continuous education to enhance skills and knowledge.

·      Enhance the quality and efficiency of nuclear medicine services by optimizing imaging protocols and procedures.

·      Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and accreditation requirements for nuclear medicine procedures.

·      Assist in quality assurance and control activities to uphold clinic standards.

·      Conducts visual safety inspections to prevent accidents.

·      Report any hazardous building or equipment conditions to relevant personnel.

·      Maintain supply inventory, ensuring adequate materials are available. 

·      Maintains documentation regarding receipt of radiopharmaceuticals, dosage, quality control, radioactive source storage, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals/ radioactive materials. 

·      Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

·      Ensures work areas are orderly and clean, promptly reporting any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. 

·      Participate in continuous education to stay updated on industry trends.

EDUCTION & EXPEREINCE

·      Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

·      State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

·      5+ years of experience using all tools and equipment relative to nuclear medicine and other office equipment.

·      Previous experience in a nuclear medicine setting is preferred.

·      Strong understanding of personalized theranostics and its applications, preferred

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·      Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

·      Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

·      Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.

Compensation Details:

• Orbis Clinical provides a reasonable range of compensation for our positions. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience and specific office location. 
• The Pay Range for this position is $65-$70 per hour, can vary depending on employment status.
• Orbis Clinical provides W2 Employees with options for Health Benefits and 401K.
