Orbis Clinical is seeking a part time (20 hrs/wk) remote-based Associate Director, Molecular Diagnostic Programs (MDP) for 4 months.

Summary:
The Molecular Diagnostics Programs – Manage diagnostic programs in support of timely and accurate diagnosis of rare disease patients. This role uses technical, genetic, and/or diagnostic expertise to monitor existing program activities and support new diagnostic program development. This role also collaborates internally with Medical Affairs, Publications, Bioinformatics, Commercial, and other business functions for program operation. Successful candidates have a history of effective collaboration with teams, engagement with clinicians regarding diagnostic testing, experience with molecular, biochemical, screening or diagnostic commercial test development.
Responsibilities:
- Support molecular diagnostics activities for existing and future franchise programs by monitoring program data, managing program materials, and supporting new program development
- Develop laboratory testing program-associated materials, maintain medical and compliance review of such materials, conduct training on molecular diagnostics programs and internal program reporting
- Partner with internal and external scientific, laboratory, and medical director experts to ensure ongoing operation of molecular diagnostic testing programs
- Perform ad hoc data analysis to address queries regarding molecular diagnostic programs, report on molecular diagnostics program status to the business
- Support development and maintenance of gene locus-specific database programs
Requirements:
- Masters or higher in: genetics, biochemistry, genetic counseling, molecular biology or related field and >5y years industry experience
- Experienced in commercial genetic, biochemical, and/or other diagnostic assay development and/or testing program operations
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities & deliverables in a fast-paced, dead-line oriented environment
- Superior organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Able to build strong cross-functional relationships
- Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills
- Preferred skills include experience with data visualization software (PowerBI), familiarity with HGVS nomenclature, molecular/biochemical/antibody testing, or disease-databasing, or related field
Compensation Details:

- The Pay Range for this position is $115.17 per hour, can vary depending on employment status.
