Orbis Clinical is seeking a Senior/Principal Associate Scientist, Protein Science (Contractor) in Boston, MA for 6 months.
Summary
A growing biotechnology organization is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior/Principal Associate Scientist (Contractor) to support Protein Science activities within the Discovery team. This individual will contribute to the discovery and characterization of novel therapeutic antibodies in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and innovative biotech setting focused on advancing next-generation biotherapeutics. The role is primarily lab-based and requires onsite presence five days per week in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across biologics discovery and drug development to support the production, characterization, and optimization of therapeutic antibody candidates.
- Perform mammalian cell culture, transient protein expression, antibody purification, and biochemical characterization experiments.
- Independently develop and execute medium-throughput antibody purifications and multi-step protein purification workflows to generate high-quality antibodies for downstream functional and biophysical analyses.
- Utilize AKTA-based purification systems and chromatography methods including affinity, ion exchange (IEX), and size exclusion chromatography (SEC).
- Support routine biologics analytical characterization using techniques such as ELISA, BLI/SPR, HPLC, and UPLC.
Desired Skills
- Strong experience with protein purification techniques, including affinity, ion exchange (IEX), and size exclusion chromatography (SEC), as well as AKTA purification platforms.
- Familiarity with biologics characterization and analytical methods
Compensation Details:

- The Pay Range for this position is $35.00- 60.00 per hour, can vary depending on employment status.
